Colònia Castells

Commissioned by the District of Les Corts, in 2022 we developed the design and contents of an outdoor exhibition composed of metal panels reminiscent of the remains of tiles that became visible when most of the houses in the Castells Colony were demolished. The aim is to maintain and disseminate the memory of that working class area in Les Corts that housed humble families looking for jobs in the industrial Barcelona in the 1920s, and ended up becoming a pole of anarchism during the Second Republic and the Spanish Civil War.
